Theresa Foo is Chairman of The Esplanade Co Ltd and VIVA Foundation for Children with Cancer Limited. She is also the Deputy Chairman of the National Parks Board and sits on the board of the Singapore Business Federation, the Singapore National Employers Federation and the Income Tax Board of Review.
Theresa Foo was the Chairman and Senior Advisor at BNP Paribas Capital (Singapore) Ltd as well as the Chairman of BNP Paribas Securities (Singapore) Pte Ltd before stepping down in December 2009. Prior to that, she was the Chief Executive of Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore Branch and Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate and Investment Banking, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation.
Theresa's illustrious banking career spanning over 40 years is globally recognised. In 1997, Theresa was nominated Euromoney's Top 50 Women in Finance. She is also the first Asian local and female Chief Executive appointed by Standard Chartered Bank in its history in Asia.
A staunch supporter of the arts, Theresa was voted The Champion of the Arts 2001 in Singapore. Theresa holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University.
Dr Foong Wai Keong is Co-Founder, President and CEO of Ecquaria Technologies. A veteran in the industry with more than 20 years of experience, Dr Foong brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Instrumental in a number of key Singapore and pan-Asia government consultancy initiatives and project implementations, Dr Foong is highly sought after in the area of providing thought leadership for e-Government solutions.
Dr Foong's main role lies in spearheading the vision and strategic planning of Ecquaria Technologies, a fast growing enterprise software infrastructure solutions company that serves governments and large organizations worldwide leveraging on its internationally acclaimed and award-winning flagship platform, the Ecquaria Service-Oriented Platform™ (Ecquaria SOP™).
Dr Foong sits on the Board of Governors of Temasek Polytechnic. He is the Chairman of the Ministry of Education, EduSave Advisory Council as well as the Chairman of the Temasek Polytechnic Education Department (TPED).
Dr Foong holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Western Australia and a Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne, both in Computer Science.
Lim Chin Hu is the Chief Executive Officer of BT Frontline, a regional leading provider of end-to-end IT Services with operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Greater China (PRC, HK and Taiwan) and India.
He leads the overall operations of the BT Frontline Group, and is instrumental in developing and directing the Group's growth and regional strategies. BT Frontline was listed on the Singapore stock exchange until 24 March 2008 when it was fully acquired by BT Group.
On 1 October 2008, Chin Hu was appointed Chief Executive Officer for BT South East Asia to lead the South East Asia’s business strategy. He now heads the combined BT South East Asia and BT Frontline Group in Asia Pacific.
Chin Hu has over 20 years of experience in the infocomm industry. Prior to joining BT Frontline, he was country manager of Sun Microsystems for ASEAN emerging countries, managing director of Sun Microsystems Singapore and corporate director, partners & channels for Sun Microsystems Asia Pacific. Prior to this he was with Hewlett Packard holding various sales and marketing management positions for Singapore and South East Asia.
Chin Hu is currently serving as a council member of National Infocomm Manpower Council. He previously served as a board member of the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA), a council member in Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) and a council member of IT Standards Committee.
Chin Hu holds a diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia.
Tan Kwang Han, Chief Technology Officer for Ecquaria Limited, has more than 20 years of practical experience in the research and development of Internet and e-commerce technologies. Mr. Tan is responsible for driving Ecquaria's current and future product and technology directions.
Mr. Tan was formerly an Associate Research Staff with Kent Ridge Digital Labs (KRDL) where he successfully conceptualized and subsequently built a virtual Internet community for financial investors. Mr. Tan was also the Chief Architect for a vital joint e-commerce project for GES International.
Having a keen eye in spotting key technology trends and an excellent understanding of their implementations, Mr. Tan is set to strengthen the innovative spirit of the company.
Mr. Tan holds an Honours Degree in Computing & IT from the National University of Singapore.
Teh Bong Lim is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of MMI Holdings Limited, a precision engineering company in the hard disk drive industry, listed on the Main Board of the SGX-ST, which he co-founded in 1989.
He was a board member of the Economic Development Board from 1998 to 1999 and is also the Chairman of the Centre for Wireless Communications, a member of the Governing Board of the Singapore-MIT Alliance, a member of the Committee on Singapore's Competitiveness and a Director of the International Disk Drive Equipment and Materials Association.
Bong Lim has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
Steve Ting is the Executive Chairman of BT Frontline Pte Ltd. A veteran in the technology industry, with more than 20 years of experience, Steve has held several management positions in Hewlett Packard Singapore and Mentor Graphics Corporation. Steve started his first company, Mentor Graphics Associates Pte Ltd in 1993, and subsequently founded Frontline Technologies Pte Ltd in 1994 as executive chairman.
Steve was appointed Executive Chairman of BT's South East Asia operations on 1 October 2008, responsible for driving the business strategy in that geography. He leads the combined BT South East Asia and BT Frontline businesses’ performance in Asia Pacific.
Steve was awarded Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year (Business Services & Technology) award in 2002. He has served on various committees and boards in tertiary institutions and companies in Asia Pacific and is actively involved in providing guidance in entrepreneurship via lectures and seminars. In 2005 Steve was appointed as a council member to The Enterprise Challenge panel, an initiative by the Singapore Prime Minister's Office that looks into the funding of innovative proposals that have the potential to create new value or significant improvements to the delivery of public service. In the same year, he was awarded the Centennial Entrepreneurship Award for Technology by the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Steve holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the National University of Singapore, a post-graduate degree from the Institute of Marketing in the United Kingdom and a graduate diploma in Marketing Management from the Singapore Institute of Management.
In recognition of his entrepreneurial achievements, Steve was conferred the honorary title of Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from Wisconsin International University, USA in 2002. |
