Database Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Installing Oracle/DB2/mySQL and patches
• Administering multiple databases (e.g. development, SIT, UAT, training, production)
• Managing change control within a development environment
• Leading the application team on application database design (e.g. tables, indexes,
  Entity-relationship model, normalization)
• Assisting the application team on application tuning (e.g. SQL query)
• Monitoring/tuning all database environments
• Assisting the application team in troubleshooting database-related issues
• Managing a replicated environment (e.g. Oracle RAC)
• Managing documentation needs for the database (e.g. database environment settings, data dictionary, backup/restore etc)

Prerequisites:

• Well verse in Unix and Windows Server OS
• Well verse in Oracle Database, DB2 or mySQL
• Certification in Oracle 9i or later version is preferred

Pre-sales Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Engage customer to understand their requirements and future IT plan
• Provide innovations and value-add to our customer helping them to fulfill their business requirements
• Provide help and consultancy to our customer in addressing their technical concerns with respect to our product and IT
• Propose solutions and innovations to customers via presentation, demonstration or Proof-of-concept

Prerequisites:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in system integration presales
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in system integration and implementation in Web-based and J2EE environment
• Good knowledge of databases, Object-orientated and web application concepts are essential
• Proficiency in JSP, Java, Javascript, SQL Web Services, HTML, AJAX, as well as in one or more of the following platforms: Unix, Win NT and Linux
• Exposure to the following will be preferred:
• J2EE
• Web & Application Servers
• Database Servers
• Business Process Management
• Web Services (e.g. SOAP, WSDL)

Confident and dynamic self-starter, with a good command of English, excellent customer relationship management skills and presentation skills.

Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage the development and implementation of Ecquaria's solutions and  applications
• Manage and lead a team of developers in the entire project development life cycle
• Manage each phase of the development life cycle and ensure that all tasks/objectives in each phase are met
• Manage customer's expectation
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal depts
• Accountable for the scope, schedule and resources used
• Accountable for the profit and loss of the project
  

Prerequisites:

• Computer Science background or equivalent
• At least 3 years' experience in project management and 5 years’ experience in IT with good problem analysis techniques
• Strong written and communication skills
• Strong inter-personal relationship
• CITPM or PMP-certified will be an advantage
• Knowledge of Java will be an advantage

Senior Software Engineer (Project Leader)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small team of developers to deliver the modules in his/her charge
• Able to lead and drive the requirements gathering process for the modules in his/her charge
• Participate in the design and development of web applications based on Ecquaria’s product (J2EE-based)
• Lead and manage the user acceptance testing process
• Implement , customize, test, document and maintain software applications
• Ensure that the modules delivered are according to the specifications , and are of high quality

Prerequisites:

• A Degree/Diploma in Computer Science with at least 3 years' software development experience in Internet technology in Win NT, UNIX or LINUX platform
• Technical skills include proven object-oriented programming experience with Java and C++ together with extensive RDBMS through JDBC
• Experience in J2EE, Web Services and XML will be advantageous
• Good interpersonal skills

Solution Architect

The Solution Architect (SA) plays core technical role in the development of a system. Working hand in hand with the Project Manager (PM), the Solution Architect designs and proposes a software architecture for the solution, and ensuring smooth delivery of the system within targetted schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Understand customer requirements and their technical infrastructure
• Convert system requirements into software architecture and design documentation, and ensuring the completeness of the architecture proposed
• Work with Project Manager and customers to manage/negotiate resources, scope and schedule
• Interface and coordinate tasks with Module Leaders to ensure all modules within the system are progressing as planned, and modules can be integrated smoothly
• Mentor for junior technical staff
  

Preferred Skill sets:

• Experienced in designing and delivering complex web-based applications using J2EE servers such as Sun One WebLogic, WebSphere or JBoss
• Experienced in one or more of the following database servers: Oracle, DB2, MySQL
• Knowledge of open frameworks such as Spring, Struts, JSF, Hibernate
• MVC design, Data modeling, Deployment & Build management,  Data migration.
• Offshore Development is a plus.  Able to converse in Mandarin.
