Businesses in Brunei can look forward to start up, grow and expand their operations with greater ease and convenience when the Business Licensing System (BLS) is completed.

The project is won by Ecquaria together with its partner, Folec Communications (B) Sdn Bhd. The overseas deal is a firm endorsement of Ecquaria's e-Government expertise which is behind the award-winning Online Business Licensing Service developed and launched in 2004 for the Singapore government.

The BLS is a flagship e-Government project which is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA). The BLS aims to improve the country's global ranking in the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business report through a single portal that will enable businessmen to apply for a suite of licenses in a single, integrated form-filling process without the need to visit the respective agencies.
