Ecquaria is proud to power Hukoomi's new commercial registration e-Services which allow individuals and businesses to register new businesses and manage existing commercial registration processes online.
The platform that powers the launch of the latest suite of commercial registration e-Services is the Qatar Service Platform (QSP), a key single integrated and hosting infrastructure that empowers efficient sharing of common services such as user authentication, e-payment and data services from various agencies.
Business users are now empowered with a seamless and convenient means to transact online, make consolidated e-payment for a suite of key pilot e-Services which are launched by Qatar's Ministry of Economy and Commerce, without having the need to visit numerous government entities hence saving citizens and businesses time and effort.
Available in both English and Arabic, the newly launched set of six key pilot e-Services allows individuals and businesses to set up a new business on-line – from registration, to approvals, to required documentation, to payments – through this one-stop shop. It will allow current businesses to renew their commercial registration, change company details and reserve or change a business name.
The QSP (formerly termed "QSi") is the flagship initiative under the ictQATAR's integrated government (i-Gov) Program to develop and integrate government-wide e-Services in support of their charter to harness ICT to achieve public service innovation.
The QSP has been earmarked to provide a significant foundation that will catalyze and strengthen the mission of ictQATAR to create an advanced information-based society through Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) infrastructure. Facilitated by Singapore's Infocomm Development Authority ("IDA"), the project is a result of the Government-to-Business (G2B) e-Government agreement signed between ictQATAR and Ecquaria in November 2006.
