Ecquaria celebrates with the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) for its Online Business Licensing Service (OBLS) on being recognized as a Laureate by the IDG Computerworld Honors Program 2007.
The latest achievement adds to OBLS' existing stellar string of accolades, which includes the prestigious United Nations Public Service Award 2005, garnered over the years.
On June 4, 2007, MTI was part of the Laureates Class of 2007 honored in Medal Ceremonies at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington D.C. for its OBLS in the "Government" category. MTI is one of only three Asian Laureates honoured at the Program.
OBLS is an innovative and comprehensive one-stop shop offering for all business licenses in Singapore. The system is designed and developed by Singapore e-Government infrastructure leader, Ecquaria Technologies based on the Ecquaria Service-Oriented Platform™ (Ecquaria SOP™).
Established in 1988, the Computerworld Honors Program identifies and records the accomplishments of the men and women, organizations and institutions that are creating the global best practices in leading the world's ongoing IT revolution.
Each year, members of the Chairmen's Committee of The Program will identify those organizations whose use of Information Technology has been especially noteworthy for the originality of its conception, the breadth of its vision and the significance of its benefit to society.
Nominations are evaluated by an independent board of CIO-level judges.
