Launch of excellenceGov Forum a first by SiTF eGov Chapter and International Enterprise Singapore
Jakarta, Indonesia (22 May 2008) - Ecquaria Technologies Pte Ltd (www.ecquaria.com), leader in the provision of mission-critical government and enterprise infrastructure and solutions today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a group of Indonesian companies to promote greater collaboration between Singapore and Indonesia in the area of eGovernment.
The MoU sees the establishment of an inaugural excellenceGov Forum (EGF) between Singapore member companies under the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation's (SiTF) eGov Chapter and Indonesian companies as a neutral sharing platform that will harness the collective strength and domain expertise of more than 19 leading Singapore and Indonesian eGovt companies backed by over 200 eGovt projects in 18 countries.
Leading the Singapore EGF delegation is Dr Foong Wai Keong, President and CEO of Ecquaria, and Chairman of the eGov Chapter at SiTF.
"We recognize the common challenges faced by governments as they aspire to achieve the goal of delivering higher quality public services to their citizens. The Indonesian eGov companies will help to deepen the Singapore companies' understanding of local challenges and we hope to work together to address the eGov challenges in Indonesia," said Dr Foong.
Recognized widely for its numerous award-winning flagship e-Government accomplishments such as the Public Service Infrastructure (PSi)1 and Online Business Licensing Service (OBLS)2 at home, Ecquaria looks forward to leverage on the Forum to provide its domain expertise in central eGov infrastructure consulting, design and implementation to the Indonesian government.
Ecquaria's flagship Ecquaria Service-Oriented Platform™ (Ecquaria SOP™) e-Government software technology, consultancy and expertise have already made significant impact on many countries and their governments. The company has successfully made its foray into the Middle East market and has just completed the Qatar Service Platform project for the Qatar government.
The EGF aims to be the centre of excellence to share and exchange experiences in the various areas of eGov between the two countries. It will focus on eGov solutions for eight key areas, namely eGov Infrastructure, Homeland Security and Law, Healthcare, Finance and Taxes, Regional Administration, Transportation, Trade and Customs and e-Education. Members hope to apply their respective consulting, expertise and best practices in this bilateral cooperation.
The group was brought together by International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, the lead agency promoting the overseas growth of Singapore-based enterprises and international trade, together with SiTF eGov Chapter. The EGF comprises 19 leading eGov players from Singapore and Indonesia. The EGF partners include member companies under the SiTF eGov Chapter from Singapore, such as Ecquaria Technolgies, NCS Group, CrimsonLogic, Singapore Technologies Electronics, Trusted Hub and PCS Security, etc. and Indonesian partners including eGov Indonesia, Altelindo, Palapa Digital Electronic, Sigma Cipta Utama, Anabatic Teknologi and Adicipta Inovasi.
Besides IE Singapore and SiTF, EGF also has the support of Indonesia Infocom Society (MASTEL) and Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN).

The project won the prestigious E-Govt 2002 Award at Washington D.C.
2 Online Application System for Integrated Services (OASIS) is the first key project under the Singapore government's S$1.3 billion e-Government Action Plan II (eGAP II) to deliver one-stop, integrated services to better meet the needs of citizens and businesses through multi-agency collaboration and efficient delivery of customer-centric services. Ecquaria was awarded the project that helped the Ministry of Trade and Industry successfully launch the Online Business Licensing Service (OBLS), providing businesses a one-stop convenience to apply for licenses and permits online.
