Powering Award-winning iGov Solutions
From ‘e’ (electronic) to ‘i’ (integrated), Ecquaria has been playing a key role in shaping the Singapore Government’s infocomm journey of transformation. In close partnership with the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), Ecquaria has contributed to key e-Government efforts for e-Government Action Plans (eGAP) I and II in 2000 and 2003 respectively.
In eGAP I, Ecquaria helped architect and develop the Public Service Infrastructure (PSi) which serves as a common, unified infrastructure for deploying robust, customer-centric government e-Services for use by the citizen and the business community. The project helped IDA win the distinguished Explorer Award in Washington DC in 2002.
In eGAP II, Ecquaria helped the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry design, develop and deliver Online Business Licensing Service (OBLS), a one-stop business license application system that streamlines the process of applying for business licenses across multiple agencies. The project bagged the prestigious United Nations Public Service Award for best application of IT in e-Government in 2005.
Ecquaria’s experiences and expertise in the development and implementation of eGAP I and II have propelled the company to forge mutually beneficial partnerships with overseas governments. Ecquaria has been active in collaboration with IDA and public ministries/ agencies in the co-creation, development and export of iGov solutions to foreign governments such as the Middle East, Brunei, Thailand, Mexico and Botswana, just to name a few. |
